Flat Abs – What All the Hype is About
Here is something I want to throw in here. There is so much hype and talk about “getting a six pack stomach” or “washboard abs”. It isn’t hard to understand why this is so appealing, because quite frankly most men and women think hard defined abs are sexy and attractive. They sure make you look a lot better. On top of that, if you do what it takes to get a flat stomach, you’ll be in great shape all over and you’ll feel really great as an added bonus!
There is a lot of information about achieving flat abs that I’ve seen online. You see one abs program after another advertised. My favorite approach is one that doesn’t focus too hard on just one thing. An approach that is much more balanced and holistic, and is designed to produce permanent results, works best. If you’re looking around, keep an eye out for training on what exercises work best (hint: situps and crunches don’t cut it) and also see what you can find on how to modify your diet. Many people who work out have six pack abs under their belly fat, you just can’t see them until the fat is eliminated.
Tip – spot reducing is a myth and does not work. What works for getting a flat stomach is overall fat loss, the kind that is achieved through consistent exercise and fitness routines. Cardio routines help and are good, but they alone are not sufficient to get this done. You must use cardio fitness moves plus working out with right weights and moves to lose the maximum amount of body fat.
So, if you’re ready to make a commitment to better overall health and fitness, and don’t mind hitting the gym regularly, go for those six pack abs. The truth is, abs fitness isn’t a big mystery or anything, it just takes time and doing certain things consistently. That’s it!
